Jon Reed Goes Off On: Hanoi Web

Hanoi Rocks Online:
Jon Reed's Recommended Links

JR notes: This list is not meant to be comprehensive, it's just intended to get folks started. There's a lot of nice Hanoi stuff out there to see online.

Tooting Bec Press
Xan's incredible new (and definitive) Hanoi Rocks article archive, which has to be seen to be believed.

Back to Mystery City
If I had to pick one web site that most captured the spirit of Hanoi Rocks in their prime, it would be the "Back to Mystery City" web site. Steven of Angels in Exile web design (who also helped Xan design "Tootic Bec Press") has done a beautiful job of gathering some awesome Hanoi photos, memorabilia, and personal memories. Though you'll want to refer to the official site for more comprehensive info, if you're like me, you'll linger on this one.

Hanoi Rocks.com
The official Hanoi Rocks web site. A great source of information on the "new" Hanoi Rocks, including a discography, breaking news, and a good message board.

Jukka's Hanoi Rocks web site
Jukka Halonen's newly redesigned "unofficial" Hanoi Rocks web site is located at http://www.hanoi-rocks.net. As well as keeping tabs on the band's current activities, this site also provides excellent historical information, including a great band history and nice bios on the Hanoi members and ex-members. Jukka has incorporated much of Lambchop's old Hanoi Rocks site, making this site a "best of" in terms of fan sites.

Michael Monroe's official web site
Designed by Markku, Michael Monroe's web site is quite simply indispensable. Comprehensive news, history, and lyrics. The free-wheeling guestbook and regular comments from Michael keep this site edgy and informative.

Andy McCoy
Andy doesn't really have an official web site (his www.andymcoy.com site is really a placeholder, and it seems to be down at the moment at any rate). There's really no web site that does him justice, but the fan site "Aspects of Andy McCoy" has some nice pics and a decent bio.

Razzle's memorial web site
Xan's magnificent Razzle memorial web site has exclusive pictures and Razzle-related stories. Very thoughtfully put together - a memorial that lives up to the memory.

Sami Yaffa's Madjuana web site
Sami's current whereabouts can be tracked through his new band Madjuana at www.Madjuana.com. He does post occasional cryptic comments on the site's message board.

Nasty Suicide web site
Cecilia keeps a candle burning for Nasty in the world of rock 'n' roll should he ever plug in that guitar again. The definitive online resource for Nasty fans worldwide.

Hanoi Rocks Mailing List
The Hanoi Rocks mailing list is a fascinating list to subscribe to. It gets a little heated sometimes - there's a number of well-informed and strong-minded folks here. I highly recommend "lurking" on this list for a while to get a feel for it before posting.
